Our chalet near Gerardmer

Gérardmer is a charming town nestled in the heart of this magnificent mountainous region. It is nicknamed the “Pearl of the Vosges”.

It is particularly known for its majestic lake, the largest natural lake in the Vosges, which offers a picturesque setting and a multitude of aquatic activities. In summer, visitors can enjoy swimming, pedal boating, kayaking or sailing on the lake, while the surrounding trails invite relaxing walks or more demanding hikes to admire stunning views of the blue waters and lush forests.

In winter, Gérardmer transforms into a hub for winter sports, with ski slopes and snow-covered hiking trails nearby, making the town attractive all year round.

Gérardmer hosts renowned events such as the fantastic film festival which attracts film buffs from around the world.

Visitors can also discover local heritage through its markets, where artisanal products and culinary specialties such as Vosges honey and local cheeses are in the spotlight.

Our cottage is located a few kilometers from the lake and Gerardmer.

A gîte rather than an apartment

Whether you prefer skiing or hiking, some crowd into apartment rentals, often in a vacation residence in the center of a rental town where you look for the cheapest but at the price of low capacity. Crowding into an apartment or studio, often upstairs, is in our opinion not the best type of rental for your vacation in the Vosges. If you calculate the price per person per night, the chalets offer capacity for families or groups of friends. The chalets are houses with a larger capacity and in addition to each having their own bedroom, the common areas are more pleasant.

This is the case of our chalet which you can book as a rental for 10 people in four bedrooms and with 1 bathroom on each floor, which allows you to have 2 families each with their own privacy. Beyond this capacity, you will rent a chalet which offers a spa, a terrace with swimming pool, a well-equipped gym as well as a warm sauna to cocoon yourself after skiing.

You can thus share the price per night and per person of the house, which is often cheaper than an apartment.
